Light Observation #2

Today was cloudy creating a soft light over all of campus. The clouds kept moving giving the landscape harsher and softer light as my walk continued. leaves began to fall from the trees which were picked up by the wind. there were no shadows on the ground which allowed for objects to appear independent from another. As people waked across chancellor's walk I noticed that the students were wearing vibrant colors almost matching the leaves falling next to them.

Light Observation #1

Nothing is brighter than the sun after you've just walked out of  a screening. But after my flash bang blindness I started to look around as my eyes began adjusting to the overflow of light.   The sunlight was coming in two directions, one from above and a food truck was reflecting all the light it caught and was reflecting it towards me. As I stumbled down the ramp and turned my head away from the food truck I started to see campus which seemed more colorful than before.  Since we have finally started fall its softened the sunlight making vibrant colors such as the grass and bricks stand out.  The shadows were longer but not as dark as they used to be. I was just finally ready for the heat to be over.

Sound Editing

I'll be the first to admit to not being the most talented at editing but being able to work with someone on editing makes the process go by faster. While I am inexperienced in post production, Matt, However, is good at editing. When we started I asked how to do the effects we were trying to make but as the process went on I started to get a better grasp on how to make my data do what I want it to do, not the other way around.   The joy of editing in a group is that you begin to learn tips and tricks to make your work go by faster and have better results. These tips then turn around and make editing not as intimidating as it first seemed.
